春之當代夜系列活動
Since 2013, Spring Foundation and the Taipei Museum of Contemporary Art have jointly sponsored the “Spring Project” lecture series. Diverse topics from issues in contemporary art, artistic creativity, curatorial practice, art history, and museums, to architecture and culture, are all explored from the perspective of the “contemporary.” National and international curators, creators, and critics from a variety of disciplines are invited to participate in discussions. 春之當代夜系列活動
Taking a “contemporary” perspective, this project will reconstruct art history in Taiwan spanning the period from 1960 to 1980, as Western modernist art arrived on our shores. “Contemporary” does not demark a period of art history, but refers to a methodology of a new temporal consciousness that reproblematizes and contextualizes Taiwan’s contemporary art history.
By collecting, organizing and researching first-hand information, this project will establish a series of foundational texts through artist interviews, international workshops, international seminars, and other academic activities. We hope to increase the breadth and depth of research of Taiwan’s art history in the process of mapping the development of contemporary art.

03春之當代夜系列活動
In an effort to promote arts education, the Foundation has invited the National Palace Museum and the Taipei American School to jointly participate in the "The Spring Foundation Junior Docent Program". By training young student docents to give guided tours in English, we hope to expand into new areas of international oriented tours for the Museum, and to build on a human resource reserve for the future. Students will also have an opportunity to develop their own potential in close proximity to the arts. Those who complete the incubator training will gain a deeper understanding of the historical significance of Chinese culture in the process of providing explanations in their interactions with international visitors to Taiwan.
